# mkv - MarKdown Viewer > mkv is a native macOS reader for the Markdown that coding agents write. Point it at a folder and every Markdown file in it stays current as agents write; the reader's place is kept; changed passages glow; front matter shows as a card of properties. Agents can open a document at a line without taking the person's focus, ask what a document holds, and receive the person's comments on a passage. mkv never edits files. It is sold on the Mac App Store: free to try for 14 days, then one purchase. It needs macOS 14 Sonoma or later. It is not related to the Matroska (.mkv) video format.
